Fixed pully
A fixed pully has the load on one end and the effort force on the other. You can change the effort force(load goes up,while you pull down) changing the direction makes it easier but you still need to apply the same amount of effort force if the pully wasn't there. To move the load 1m you'd have to pull the rope 1m.
Fixed pully
Movable pully
A movable pully has the load attached to the pully. You pull in the same direction as the load that is being lifted(Disavantage) To move 1m you have to pull 2m.
Movable pully
Combined pully
A combined pully is a fixed pully and a movable pully combined witch makes a combined pully. You can change direction and use less force. The more pullys you add, the more mechanical advantage.
